Using PafCore

By using the site, the scanner and the monitoring, you agree to these terms. Keep it fair. Do not abuse capacity.

The service

PafCore does two things. It measures how fast a web page is and names what is slowing it down, and it watches whether a page is answering at all. Everything it reports is an estimate from an automated check on our own hardware. It is not a guarantee of a search ranking, of sales, or of a higher score after you change something.

Your responsibility

• Only submit addresses you are allowed to test.
• Do not use the service to attack, overload, or probe systems without permission.
• Respect rate limits and shared capacity.

Accounts and credits

Credits are prepaid units for optional actions: lab checks, finding the exact file and line, downloading a resized image, and paste ready code. Credits are non transferable and we may refuse or reverse abuse.

Bought credit packs do not expire. A subscription includes credits each billing month, and unused ones from that month do not roll over. Bought credits stay in your wallet either way.

Subscriptions

Pro Watch and Agency are monthly subscriptions that renew until you stop them. Agency is priced per client site, in the sizes shown on the pricing page, and a site means one hostname you have proved you control.

• Prices differ by country. What you see at checkout is what you are charged.
• If a renewal fails, we do not cut you off on the first try. The payment company retries, and your plan ends only when the subscription is actually cancelled.
• To cancel or change a plan, email us. We do it the same day. There is no self service cancel button yet and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
• When a plan ends, saved work stays. The limits go back to the free ones, so anything over them stops running rather than being deleted.

Watching a page for outages

We ask your page for an answer on a timer and tell you when it stops giving one. This is a best effort service, not a guarantee. We can miss an outage, and we can report one that was a problem between us and you rather than your server. Do not rely on it as your only alarm for something where being down is expensive.

Uptime figures are what our checks saw from where we check from. They are not an audited measurement and should not be presented as one.

Pages behind a login

You may give us one session, a cookie or a header, so we can measure a page that needs signing in. By doing so you confirm three things.

• You own the site, or you are allowed to test it on behalf of whoever does.
• The session belongs to an account made for this, not to your own admin login.
• You can revoke it on your side at any moment, and doing so is your call, not ours.

We encrypt it, send it only to the host it belongs to, never show it back, and delete it when you revoke it. We will not accept one for a domain you have not proved you control. What we cannot do is control what that session can reach inside your own system, which is why the throwaway account matters.

Putting your name on a report

On a paid plan the report you download carries your name, your logo and your colour, and you may send it to a client or bill for it. Two conditions. The footer saying how the numbers were measured stays on the document, because a report that cannot answer "says who" is worth nothing to the person reading it. And you do not present the measurements as having been taken by your own tool.

Public reports

Reports for public sites may be listed or linked so others can learn from real examples. Do not submit private or confidential addresses if you need them kept off public lists.

Availability

We aim for steady uptime and we do not promise it. Free checks and paid actions can pause when capacity is full or while we are working on the service. If a paid feature is broken for long enough to matter, the refunds page covers it.

Ending it

You can stop at any time, and ask us to delete your account. We can close an account that is attacking other people's systems, abusing capacity, or charging back payments it made. We will tell you why.
