          Pages behind a login

          Measure the page only your users see

          A dashboard, an account page, anything that needs signing in. You give us one session, we send it with the check, and you can take it back at any moment.

          Checking a page behind a login comes with Pro

          The slowest page on most products is the one behind the sign in, and it is the one nobody measures.

          • One session per page, sent only to that page
          • Only for a domain you have proved you control
          • Revoke whenever you like, on either side

          Not switched on yet

          This server has no key to encrypt a session with, so we will not accept one. Storing somebody's session unencrypted would be worse than not offering this at all.

          What happens to it

          • Encrypted before it is stored. The key lives on the server, not in the database.
          • Sent to one host only. If the page redirects anywhere else, the session is dropped rather than followed.
          • Never shown again. Not to you, not to us. You will see the first few characters and a length.
          • Use a throwaway account. Make a test user with the same access as a normal one. Never your own admin login.

            Sign in to your site in a normal browser tab, using a throwaway account. Then open the exact page you picked above, so you are looking at it signed in.

            Open developer tools. On a Mac press ⌥ ⌘ I. On Windows press F12. Click the Network tab at the top of the panel that opens.

            Reload the page with the panel open. A list of rows appears. The one you want is the first row, which has the same name as the page.

            Right click that row, choose Copy, then Copy as cURL. Nothing visible happens. It is on your clipboard.

            Paste it below. We take the sign in part out of it and throw the rest away.

              The report you download carries your logo and your colour, so you can send it to a client or put it in an invoice. The measurements stay ours, and the footer says so.

                How to prove ownership

                Do one of the two methods below. Then press Check now.

                1. Copy the DNS values or the file body.
                2. Publish them at your DNS host or on your site.
                3. Wait a minute if you used DNS, then check.

                Option A · DNS TXT

                At Namecheap, Cloudflare, and most registrars, put only _pafcore in Host. They add your domain for you. If you paste the full name, the record lands on the wrong place.

                              For things that have no address to check: a nightly backup, an import, a report. Give us a name, we give you a URL. Your job calls it when it finishes. If we do not hear from it, we tell you.
